Rossland Curling Club

Opened in 1957 as an addition to the Rossland Arena, the Rossland Curling club features 4 sheets of ice in a unique heritage atmosphere. Covering the East wall is unique heritage artwork created for Rossland's centennial in 1987 featuring 14 foot tall images of Rossland's mainstreet circa early 1900’s. Located two blocks from Rossland's historic downtown core of hotels and reataurants the venue is very pedestrian friendly and exudes the alpine city's naturally warm charm.

Location: 

2 blocks from downtown Rossland on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Spokane Streets, a short walk from Rossland’s hotels, restaurants and shopping. Rossland is only a ten minute drive north of the Canada/US Border, a 2.5 hour drive from Spokane International Airport (Washington state) and 3.5 hour drive from Kelowna International Airport. Red is easily accessible from major airports from both Canada and the United States. The regional airports of Trail is a 20 minute drive, and Castlegar is a 30 minute drive.

Trail Memorial Centre Curling Arena

Host to the 2007 Scotties BC Women’s Curling Championships Trail’s Memorial Centre is a top tier multi-sport complex that contains an 8 sheet curling facility complete with large change rooms, lounge area and full commercial banquet kitchen facilities. The largest curling club in the West Kootenay, the Memorial Centre has a long history of hosting successful events and producing world class curlers. Portable bleachers are available for added seating inside the curling rink for a 4 sheet competition set up with up to 600 seats inside.

Situated on the banks of the Columbia Rivers in the heart of downtown Trail the arena and sports complex are within easy walking distance of Trail’s shops and restaurants. The facility is only 200 meters away from a deluxe hotel with excellent accommodations and is 1km away from the regional hospital with over 100 medical doctors and specialists. Also located in the complex are an 8 sheet curling rink, full sized gymnasium with seats for 1,000, full banquet kitchen facilities, squash and racquetball courts.
